Our son Dillon was born in London at 4:14am on Tuesday, March 23rd. Mom laboured for 19 hours and when it was all over she held in her arms a sweet baby boy who weighed 6lbs 9oz and measured a lengthy 21.9 inches. Needless to say, it was love at first sight.
He slept all morning, and we enjoyed looking at him. . .

Caitie did a beautiful job and I'm happy to report she's feeling well and that the three of us are all back at home now. We've been enjoying some "nesting" time and really getting to know our new little one. He's got a very sweet disposition and spends the majority of his time sleeping in Caitie's arms. He's a great eater, too, which is a trait that I think he inherited from me.

We really miss everyone back home and wish you were here to meet Dillon. I know it's not really any consolation, but the internet does make it easy for us to share some photos. I've included newborn shots of Caitie and me so you can play the "who does he look like" game.
We're very excited about all the visitors we'll be getting in the coming weeks. First to see Dillon will be Liz and Jeremy, who are traveling down from Scotland on Friday, and then both sets of grandparents will be here in April. Words can't describe how much we're looking forward to these visits. So, get here soon. Dillon has lots of hugs to give you.

His Auntie can't wait to meet him! Keep the pics coming, we can't get enough!
